Introduction
Hello. This blog is dedicated to all of those who are in some way 'watching' what they eat. For those wanting to lose weight, to those who are lactose intolerant, have celiac disease, or IBS, are even diabetic—I'm sure I missed a few—but you know who you are—this is for you.
I share my tips and experience of restaurants around the Lansing area as I 'watched' what I ate. [You can read the intro of my food journey in the side bar]. I looked for a guide that would help me find restaurants with varied enough menus and healthy choices for me. There wasn't a guide to local eateries out there that answered my questions and helped me. At least not one with all the information I was looking for. So this is my contribution, sharing my experience and education with others. Please share your stories, tips and experiences, too.
I have to get this out of the way and up front: In no way do I take responsibility for your experiences. Make sure you ask your server, even the chef, when going to a restaurant about a specific food allergy or healthful request. Take care of yourselves and ask the questions needed. I have found restaurants will be extremely accommodating. Okay, now that's out of the way...
Here's to us 'in the pink'!
